I'm Jess.
And I'm the kind of girl who throws herself a cake smash photo shoot. You want to be my friend.
I spent my twenties between the sheets, not unlike Lump, and I was addicted to relationships. When I fell in love I fell hard, and when it was over I was beyond devastated.
But the thing is, I'm no different than most girls navigating the dating world. I was just incredibly open and honest about what I was going through. It's so painful to read now, just how vulnerable and raw I was. How naive and dramatic. How fucking stupid.
So why should you want to read about these relationships? First of all, did I mention I wrote them on Ambien, sometimes coupled with alcohol? Many of them I didn't remember writing the next day and they are hilarious.
But second, you may be going through a rough breakup and you're looking for comfort. You answered a booty call (again), you drunk texted him or her (again), you broke into your old apartment... (just me?) and you need to know that you're not alone in the crazy, intense sadness that seems to overwhelm your every moment. You feel like you could cry so hard that you'll turn inside out. And I want you to know how I got there, and how I got over it.
And how you can, too.
I love you. You're going to be ok.
